Monadnock Music remembers former Board President William Fregosi
He lead our organization through many changes, and he will be forever missed.
Our Town House Concert is dedicated to him.
William A. Fregosi Passed away in Durham, NH, June 5, 2024. He was born in Queens, NY, to Margaret and Robert Fregosi. He received his B.A. from Boston University and his M.F.A. from Brandeis University. He worked as a theater arts designer at the Buckingham Browne & Nichols School and M.I.T. for over twenty-five years. He also freelanced as a graphic designer and was an active member of the Boston arts scene. He was married to Fritz Bell, who had predeceased him in 2015. Will loved opera, theater, classical music, art, travel, photography, cooking, gardening, cats, his family, and the Red Sox. He is survived by his two daughters and two grandchildren.
A note from his daughter Stephania,
"Dad also loved history, global cuisine and politics. I felt like he epitomized D.I.Y. He did the entire kitchen, including the cabinets, tiling the floor, etc. He's been known to upholster and paint furniture, make curtains, make costumes and clothing for himself and others, etc. He'd been to Russia, China, France, South Korea, Morocco, Australia, Canada, (most of Europe - I lost track), most of the United States including Hawaii and I think Alaska, Canada and only Sophia will know if he made it to Latin America.
Sophia and I were attending stage productions before we could walk and talk. And while the classical music bug didn't quite hit me, as Dad liked to say, these things skip a generation and my daughter plays the violin, viola and the oboe. His other grandchild is a sparkling ball of energy."
